This Morning's Cat Deeley admits husband's career 'frightens' her in candid confession

On the latest episode of This Morning, hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard chatted with comedian Joe Pasquale about his current tour.

The conversation soon turned to Cat's other half, the talented Patrick 'Paddy' Kielty. Joe was quick to praise Paddy's comedic skills, describing him as one of the top stand-up performers and encouraging viewers to catch one of his shows.

Cat expressed her gratitude, responding: "They're amazing! But, I have to say It's one of the scariest things you can do, I think." When Ben queried if she ever gets anxious watching Paddy perform, Cat emphatically confirmed she does.

She elaborated: "So nervous! So frightened. You're literally, you go out there. This is what you (Joe) are currently doing right now. You go with a microphone and everybody is sat in the audience. Paid £40 a ticket and go, 'Right, make me laugh'", reports the Mirror.

Joe light-heartedly remarked that his own show tickets weren't quite as pricey as Paddy's, eliciting a chuckle from Ben. He also mentioned: "Paddy's great with hecklers as well though." Cat concurred, adding: "Yeah he is, he's very good with that."

Cat and Patrick's initial encounter was back in 2002 on BBC's Fame Academy, but it took years for their relationship to blossom into romance.

Previously, Cat has shared how Patrick once made a grand gesture by flying from Belfast to LA just for brunch with her, an act that clearly left a lasting impression and helped ignite their relationship. They exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Rome in 2012, surrounded by their nearest and dearest, just nine months after getting engaged.

Together they have two children, Milo, born in 2016, and James who arrived in 2018. Cat recently shared details about her husband's health woes on an ITV show, revealing that he was suffering from shingles.

Initially mistaking the symptoms for an injury sustained while doing DIY at home, she said: "He thought he'd touched his face. He'd got this burning, tingling, stinging sensation, so that's what he thought it was."

Doctor Sara Kayat had previously informed Cat on the show that people often experience a tingly, burning sensation before a blotchy rash emerges.

To which Cat responded: "They can be on the trunk of your body? [Patrick] has got them on his face, actually! ".
