This Morning's Josie Gibson forced to apologise to host Ben Shephard over on-air snub

Josie Gibson apologised to co-star Ben Shephard after handing out gifts to her This Morning co-stars and making a bit of a blunder.

The Bristol-born presenter had been filming in Dortmund, Germany, for the ITV show on Wednesday, July 10. She was dispatched overseas for work duties ahead of the nerve-wracking semi-final between England and the Netherlands - with Gareth Southgate's team clinching the win in the final moments after Ollie Watkins scored an impressive goal.

Returning to the studio on Thursday, Josie was brimming with enthusiasm and brought gifts for hosts Ben and Cat Deeley. However, things became a bit uncomfortable when she started to hand out presents but appeared to overlook the Tipping Point host.

Passing over the items that she'd picked up on her travels, she gave them both a bottle of beer, along with a box of chocolates. But Ben's sweet gift had been tampered with.

As he toyed with the box that had already been opened and seemed half empty, he asked: "Have you nibbled my chocolates? ", reports the Mirror. Josie admitted: "What happened was I'm a midnight fridge raider, fridge snacker and I've eaten half of yours. Sorry about that."

She continued: "But I've got you to make up for it.... but it did melt because it was really hot in Dortmund.... so I've got you a little poodle-doodle and some half-eaten chocolates."

"That looks so appealing," presenter Cat teased. The I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here star then handed the former SMTV Live host a fresh box, reassuring her with: "Don't worry Cat, I didn't eat yours."

As she presented Cat with more delectable and untouched treats, she patted the shoulder of the ex GMB star, apologising: "Sorry Ben." Amidst Cat's excited cheers, a disgruntled Ben retorted: "So I got a manky poodle-doodle and some half eaten chocolates?"

Cat added insult to injury, quipping: "It's a bit melty but it'll taste good." In other news, Josie has revealed that she's secured a new presenting gig beyond her usual ITV daytime slot. The beloved television personality is set to join Magic Radio this August.

She's slated to present the barbecue Playlist segment on Saturdays from 1-2pm, as reported by On The Radio. Following Josie's stint, McFly's Harry Judd will step in to continue the show after her last broadcast on July 6.

This Morning airs on ITV from 10am.
