Moscow Concert Attack Suspect 'Almost Unconscious' in Court Appearance, Observers Say

A suspect in the deadly March 22 concert hall attack in Moscow arrived to court in a wheelchair on May 16, and appeared “in an almost unconscious state” during his hearing, the Russian outlet SOTA said.

Footage from SOTA shows 19-year-old suspect Muhammadsobir Fayzov sitting with his head bowed in a Moscow courtroom. His detention was extended until August 22, RIA said.

Fayzov “spoke only with the help of an interpreter” and was “physically unable to stand up,” SOTA reported.

Fayzov was one of several suspects, named as Dalerdzhon Mirzoyev, Saidakrami Murodali Rachabalizoda, Shamsidin Fariduni, who appeared in court back in March.
