The 2024 Oscars took place in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Stars celebrated the awards at the Vanity Fair Oscar after-party in bold and daring ensembles.
Chrissy Teigen and Quinta Brunson had some of the night's most memorable looks.
The 2024 Oscars were held on Sunday, with Hollywood's biggest stars gathering to honor the year's best films.
The ceremony took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. But stars also celebrated the awards show at the Vanity Fair Oscar after-party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.
Many attendees rocked daring looks at the after-party, wearing gowns with sheer detailing or plunging necklines on the red carpet. Take a look at some of the boldest outfits of the night.
Margot Robbie went pantless for the Oscars after-party.
While Robbie kept things simple with her Versace dress at the Oscars, she opted for a daring gold ensemble at the Vanity Fair party.
Robbie's bedazzled gold corset is from Thierry Mugler's spring 1996 collection, according to InStyle. She accessorized the vintage ensemble with strappy gold heels and a silk cape.
Jennifer Lawrence swapped polka dots for a sheer white gown as she walked the Vanity Fair red carpet.
Like Robbie, Lawrence went vintage for the Oscars after-party with a gown from Givenchy's 1996 couture collection, according to Vogue.
The white gown was covered with a four-leaf clover pattern that extended to its flowing train. Lawrence paired the ensemble with matching white kitten heels.
Gabrielle Union was dripping in silver sparkles.
Her Zuhair Murad dress had a halter bodice that was made solely of silver strings, which hung across her chest and stomach to create a backless top.
Its skirt, on the other hand, hugged her body with the same silver pieces and thicker sparkles down its center.
Saweetie put a daring twist on a classic style.
She embodied Marilyn Monroe with a short blonde bob and silver dress. But the latter piece was more daring than anything the '50s movie star wore.
Saweetie's red-carpet gown was sleeveless, plunged at the neck, and split with a thigh-high slit across its skirt. Its base layer of fabric was also tan, creating the illusion that the musician was covered only in silver sparkles.
Ciara bared it all in a ruched latex gown.
Her see-through dress wrapped around her body, covering her entirely in tan latex. And beneath the mermaid silhouette, she wore only a bra and thong that perfectly matched the garment.
She completed the outfit with neutral makeup and a swept-back hairstyle.
Ice Spice showed the power of lace at the after-party.
The rapper arrived on the red carpet in a black, floor-length gown designed by Dolce & Gabbana. It had floral lace sleeves, mesh fabric with fishnet panels across the stomach, and a long skirt with deep, lace-embellished pleats.
Of course, due to the fabric, the dress was also entirely sheer, revealing her black lingerie beneath it.
Selma Blair wore a tea-length dress with a daring neckline.
Blair walked the red carpet in a coral Carolina Herrera dress with a full skirt and low neckline. Black fabric shaped like a bow provided her with coverage on her chest.
Details like subtle stripes on the skirt and black heels completed the ensemble.
Kerry Washington wore a semi-sheer gown.
Giambattista Valli Couture designed the voluminous dress Washington wore to the after-party.
The dress featured sheer tulle detailing on the neckline and skirt, contrasting with the textured bodice. Bows and see-through paneling on the bodice added to the look's daring feel.
Diane Kruger played with see-through material.
The base of Kruger's Givenchy dress was made of a semi-sheer silver material, while a swath of black fabric sat across her chest.
The black material blended into the sheer gloves she wore on her arms, while the dress featured a trim of embellished tassels that moved as she walked.
Black shoes and sheer knee-high black socks completed the look.
Anitta went braless in a chainmail gown.
Her sleeveless Fendi dress was one of many silver gowns at the Vanity Fair after-party. But hers stood out thanks to its see-through material and high shine.
The musician also accessorized the look perfectly, adding silver platform sandals and diamond jewelry to her outfit. Beneath the dress, she wore only a silver pair of underwear.
Emma Stone dazzled in a silver gown that was custom-made for her.
The Oscar winner stepped onto the red carpet in a shapeless Louis Vuitton creation.
Its gray fabric was sporadically covered in oversized sequins, and its high-low skirt gave the gown a unique flow.
Though she did wear some jewelry, Stone's best accessory was her golden Oscar that she carried with her.
Becky G's two-piece set was both classy and risqué.
David Koma designed her outfit, which included a lace bralette adorned with a black ribbon and a mid-rise satin skirt. The two white pieces were feminine and flirty and perfectly complemented her black hair bow.
She also wore pearl earrings and rosy makeup.
Iris Law stunned in silver.
Though it looked like she was wearing a dress, the model and actor was actually wearing a two-piece outfit. Law's short-sleeved top, which she wore with no bra, reached her hips, and her skirt extended just past her knees.
Law completed the outfit with strappy sandals, silver eye shadow, and statement earrings
Alexandra Shipp's dress was made from mesh.
The Mônot creation was made from a black, semi-sheer fabric that showed her skin from top to bottom. But across her chest and waist were thick black panels embellished with silver beads.
The pieces matched her dangling earrings, while her gown's dark color complemented her black sandals.
Florence Pugh stood out in a skin-baring dress.
Her white gown had a mesh bodice embellished with a floral design and a peplum waistband that highlighted its midi skirt. Not only was the latter piece sheer, but it was also adorned with a train that had leaf-like pieces placed across it.
The only thing more eye-catching than her gown was her diamond necklace, which matched her earrings and sparkling heels.
Charlize Theron showed the edgy side of her style in a halter dress.
The see-through gown was covered in gray beads and sequins, creating a design across her waist that looked like a tree.
She wore the dress with high-waisted underwear, black sandals, and a variety of metallic braclets.
Laverne Cox swapped her vintage Oscars gown for a bold two-piece set.
Cox, who hosted the red carpet for E! earlier that night, sported an all-black ensemble that featured a long-sleeved crop top and matching skirt with two cutouts at the hips.
She paired the look with a dramatic ponytail, hoop earrings, a shimmering silver necklace, and a matching black clutch purse.
Halle Bailey gave a lacy spin to the naked dress trend.
Bailey's Off-White dress, which was designed by the brand's creative director Ib Kamara, featured a ruffled skirt, high neck, and pattern of lacy purple flowers that looked straight from the Victorian era.
But she kept the long-sleeved dress modern with its sheer panels, which was one of the biggest trends at the Vanity Fair after-party.
Ellie Goulding's white gown was covered in daring cutouts.
Goulding looked like a Greek goddess in her after-party dress, which featured a pattern of grapes from head to toe.
The entangled vines created cutouts throughout the daring dress, which Goulding paired with an updo to highlight the halter neckline.
Heidi Klum also hopped on the cutout trend with her after-party dress.
The supermodel looked like liquid gold in her drapey gown, which was designed by Harris Reed.
Klum's dress featured two thigh-high slits, as well as two cutouts that showed off her abs. She channeled the wet-hair look with her beauty and accessorized the outfit with matching gold heels.
Ashley Graham's Vanity Fair gown featured a thigh-high slit.
The model sparkled from head to toe in a one-shoulder black dress with a sheer flowing train.
She paired the ensemble with matching black stilettos, a ponytail, and smoky cat-eye makeup.
Usher wasn't afraid to sparkle on the red carpet.
There was no boring black suit for the hitmaker, who arrived at the Vanity Fair party in a silver long-sleeved shirt that was covered in sparkles and featured a deep V-neck.
Usher also sported cream white slacks that perfectly matched his shoes.
Jodie Turner-Smith knew how to amp up the drama of her classic black gown.
The actor and model sported a black dress with a deep V-neck that nearly reached her navel, as well as a slit at the hip that showed off one of her legs.
Turner-Smith kept the rest of her look simple, opting for classic black pumps and a subtle bracelet and earrings.
Kendall Jenner also channeled the night's lacy lingerie trend.
Jenner's short-sleeved black dress came straight from the runway of Maison Margiela's 2024 couture show.
The sheer bodice featured a floral pattern and cutouts that revealed a cream-colored corset underneath, as well as a sheer black skirt that revealed a matching cream-colored thong.
Emily Ratajkowski's gown appeared to defy gravity with its side cutouts.
Ratajkowski wore a white gown from Jacquemus to the after-party.
The strapless dress hugged her figure on the skirt, but the architectural bodice hung slightly away from her body, seeming to float in front of her before attaching at her waist.
The open back was contrasted by a sheer train, giving the gown an otherworldly look.
Tan France's top doubled as a train.
France arrived at the after-party in a pair of black trousers and a charcoal top with a mandarin collar.
A cape flowed out from the back of the shirt, elevating the ensemble. He also wore heeled boots.
Pamela Anderson wore a shapeless gown that looked like a stained-glass creation.
The gown's multicolored floral print was bold, and its sequin-covered fabric was partially see-through thanks to geometric panels across the dress.
Anderson wore the dress with a wavy hairstyle and no makeup, something she's taken to doing regularly at major events.
Chrissy Teigen arrived in a barely-there gown crafted from silver fabric.
Her halter dress from Oscar de la Renta was entirely see-through thanks to cutouts formed by its flower and leaf pattern. The unique design also created a fringe skirt that hung loosely over her legs above her PVC sandals.
Teigen completed the look with a cream-colored clutch and diamond earrings.
Kathryn Hahn's suit-dress featured a plunging neckline.
Hahn attended the after-party in a black gown with a neckline that plunged to her waist and was framed by lapels, making it look like a suit.
The long sleeves hung loosely down her body, and the gown featured a slit on one side.
Donald Glover stood out in red.
The musician and actor matched the red carpet in his vibrant ruby suit with black lapels and matching pockets. He also wore a salmon-colored button-down, a white mesh tank top, pointed dress shoes, and an $82,000 Vacheron Constantin watch.
Chloë Sevigny sported a two-piece set in a vibrant red shade.
She wore satin shorts underneath a matching oversized blouse, which was pleated and featured a giant bow across her arms.
The daring look, designed by Simone Rocha, was accessorized perfectly with white-diamond jewelry, red pumps, and a slicked-back hairstyle.
Quinta Brunson's sparkly dress was entirely see-through.
Brunson's silver Marc Bouwer dress had an asymmetrical neckline and a thigh-high slit.
But the real standout feature of the dress was its entirely sheer fabric with delicate embellishments, giving it a sparkly look.
Jessica Alba embraced rosettes at the after-party.
Tamara Ralph designed Alba's form-fitting silver dress.
Made of textured fabric, the gown's low-cut, off-the-shoulder neckline was lined with rosettes, and the entire gown sparkled as she walked down the red carpet.
