Motorcyclist rushed to Edinburgh hospital with 'serious injuries' after crash

Road Police are appealing for information following a 'serious crash' which left one male being rushed to an Edinburgh hospital for treatment.

The incident took place on the A985 between Crombie and Rosyth on Wednesday, May 1, at around 3.40pm and involved a silver Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade motorbike.

Emergency services attended and the 44-year-old motorcyclist was raced to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh to be treated for 'serious injuries'. The road was closed while officers investigated and was re-opened at around 9.35pm.

Sergeant Allan Russell said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and anyone with information, including dash-cam footage, that could assist with our enquiries are asked to get in touch.”
