Motorcyclist seriously injured after crashing into parked cars in east Hull

A motorcyclist suffered '"serious injuries" after crashing into two parked cars in east Hull last night.

The woman was riding down Parthian Road when the motorcycle collided with two parked vehicles, Humberside Police said. Witnesses said an Air Ambulance helicopter landed in a field at Griffin Primary School in Barham Road.

In its report, Humberside Fire & Rescue Service said it was called to the scene at 8:22pm and used oxygen therapy and a trauma bag. Humberside Police confirmed it is investigating the crash and anyone who witnessed it and has not yet been in touch should call the force on 101.

In a statement this morning, the force said: "Emergency services attended Parthian Road in Hull yesterday evening following reports of a collision. We were called at around 8.20pm with reports that a woman riding a motorbike had collided with two parked vehicles.

"The woman was taken to hospital for treatment to what are thought to be serious injuries. Anyone that witnessed the collision, that has not already spoken to us, is asked to call our non-emergency 101 line quoting log 42 of 18 June."

Flight Radar showed an Airbus Helicopter arrive at the scene just before 8:50pm. It circled over Parthian Road and then appeared to land near Barham Road.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance confirmed it attended the scene but said the patient was transported to hospital by land ambulance. Hull Live has contacted Yorkshire Ambulance Service for comment.
