Motorists Line Up for Fuel in Sudan's Wad Madani Amid Price Hike

A long line of cars snaked down a road in Wad Madani, a Sudanese city southeast of Khartoum, amid reported fuel shortages in the country.

Footage recorded by Ahmed Omer for the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) shows cars in line for a fuel station on Nile Road.

The NRC said fuel was running out in Wad Madani and many have been forced to abandon their cars as they flee the deadly fighting. Petrol now costs up to 50,000 SDG/gallon (US$83), the group said.
