Mourners Join Queue to See Late Pope Benedict Lying in State

Mourners gathered outside St Peter’s Basilica in Rome on Monday, January 2, to pay their respects to former Pope Benedict XVI, who died on New Year’s Eve, aged 95.

Ahead of his funeral on Thursday, the remains of the late pope will be lying in state at St Peter’s Basilica.
