Alongside the emotional post Sophie wrote: "25th April 2024. My precious Dad passed suddenly but so peacefully whilst he slept. My life, our whole world, has been turned upside down. A deep unimaginable pain I cannot put into words.

"My loving Dad, Your workshop is locked up and I sleep with the key. I promise to keep your workshop dream going. Until we meet and sing together again. Goodnight Dad. My absolute king. Your Bubberloo."

She then shared the quote: "Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go."

Actress Vicky McClure was among the first to respond, writing: "I’m so sorry. Sending much love and strength to you and your family." Strictly star Zara McDermott commented: "I am so so so so sorry. Sending you so much love." Presenter Kate Lawler shared: "I’m so deeply sorry Sophie. Sending love, strength and comforting hugs to you and your family. Heartbroken for you all xx."

Reality star Charlotte Dawson posted: "So sorry my lovely. Sending you all so much love love & thinking of you all." Former TOWIE star Lauren Pope said: "Oh I’m so sorry, sending all the love," while Jessica Wright added: "So so sorry for your loss sending so much love to you & your family."

Last year the social media influencer fought back tears as she revealed she was taking a break from online after her dad ended up in hospital. She said in April 2023: "My dad is in hospital at the moment guys. My dad has never been blessed shall we say with fantastic health - from his chest, his lungs, his heart. He's always struggled you know." She heartbreakingly added: "I just want him to be happy."
