Huge Aston Villa agents fees revealed in £410m transfers update

Aston Villa spent an additional £5.5m agents fees compared to the previous year taking their total spend from February 1 2023 to February 1 2024 to £21.2m, which ranks sixth in the Premier League.

In the last summer transfer window, deals were done to bring in Moussa Diaby, Pau Torres, Youri Tielemans (free) and Nicolo Zaniolo (loan) while, in January, Unai Emery added Morgan Rogers and Joe Gauci to his roster. Kosta Nedeljkovic and Lino Sousa were also signed on permanent deals, before they headed out on loan moves.

In terms of the agents fees standings, Chelsea top the lot with a whopping £75m spent on helping deals cross the line with Man City (£60.7m), Man Utd (£34m), Liverpool (£31.5) and Arsenal (£24.8m) making up the top five. Then comes Villa, closely followed by Tottenham (£19.8m) and Newcastle (£18.9m).
