In recognition of TrustFord’s ongoing sponsorship of the annual ‘AllFord at Alford’, the local team was delighted to also welcome representatives from Grampian Transport Museum at the official opening event.

Also sharing in the day’s celebration were representatives from TrustFord’s local Mobile Service and Parts Plus teams.

Guests were piped into the event by local piper, Gemma MacEachen. TrustFord’s state of the art facility covers almost five acres, including 27k square feet of showroom and workshop space dedicated to new cars, vans, Motability, servicing and fleet operations.

To meet the anticipated demand, 48 colleagues were recruited, increasing the number of TrustFord colleagues employed in Scotland to 175. The opening of the new site represents TrustFord’s ongoing investment in the country, adding to their existing fleet, Parts Plus and Mobile Service operations.

The energy efficient new showroom includes air-source heat pumps to reduce emissions from heating and solar PV panels to generate electricity, while the use of LED lighting and roof lights maximise natural light, improving energy efficiency.

To mark the occasion, the dealership is showcasing Ford’s latest model, the New All-Electric Explorer until Sunday 23rd June, giving guests the opportunity to see the vehicle, which is now available to order, for the first time in Aberdeen ahead of its arrival in August.

Stuart Mustoe, Chief Executive Officer of TrustFord, said: “It was great to visit our site in Aberdeen today for the official opening. The facilities and our ongoing investment in Scotland are testament to TrustFord's commitment to providing our customers with the best experience possible.

Our expert Aberdeen colleagues and supporting teams have worked hard to ensure that this location embodies our dedication to innovation and driving the standard in customer care. I wish the team every success in the months and years ahead.’’

Speaking at the opening Lisa Brankin, Chair and Managing Director of Ford of Britain and Ireland said: “It is a privilege to join the team at Aberdeen to celebrate the official opening of this fantastic site. This will provide a fantastic platform for Ford’s latest new passenger and commercial vehicles, including the new Kuga and Puma, all new E-Custom and Explorer, which I am delighted is on show today.

"I would like to thank the TrustFord board and their team for all their support in bringing this new location to life and I wish the Aberdeen team every success in the future.”
