Mum-of-22 Sue Radford fumes at husband after 'motorhome incident' near Edinburgh

Sue Radford has been left "fuming" at her husband who managed to crash their beloved motorhome while travelling near Edinburgh.

The stars of Channel 5 series 22 Kids have been left counting the costs after Noel, 53, crashed with a tap while attempting to park their motorhome - which they call Betsy.

In a video posted on Facebook on May 16, Noel defended his actions while Sue said she was "really annoyed". The incident comes after Noel also collided with a "big, bright red and white stripy bollard" in their minibus last year, leaving Sue to question how well he can drive, reports LancsLive.

Noel said in the video: "When we arrived yesterday, I'm already getting the daggers look looked at me, so I reversed into this plot and then thought 'I'm not very straight, I need to straighten up a bit'.

"So I drove out and as I was driving out I could see the tap that you hook your water up to and I thought 'oh, looks like I've just gone past it'. Anyway, I hadn't gone past it and I caught the tap on the back end of the camper and scratched it all.

"I thought 'oh my God'. So then normally what happens is I'll get out and hook the electric up, sort the water out and Sue will get all the electric chairs out.

"I said 'It's alright, I'll do it, you go away I'll do this'. And then there's a bit of a scratch down the side."

Sue then interrupts saying: "A bit? I'm fuming. Not being funny right but when people say that women drivers are really bad, I just don't believe it. What else did you do to the motorhome?"

Noel then replies: "Go away. Nothing." Sue hits back saying: "Yeah you did. You need to show them that."

Noel continues: "No, that's when we were driving back from here. I moved over as far as I could to them left and this transit van was going the opposite way and didn't really move over so we smashed the wing mirrors and it's broken the indicator a bit on it so I need to get that fixed as well."

Sue then joked: "That was the taps fault wasn't it, that you did that yesterday?" Noel said: "Yeah well if that tap moved" before Sue commented: "You need to know the size of the pitch Noel."

He continued saying: "If that tap moved, like it should have done for me, it wouldn't have happened."

The video then showcased the damage caused to the motorhome, with Noel commenting: "That's quite deep. This bit here. I'm sure it will rub out and spray up. So it's not that bad."

Sue disagreed, saying: "Noel, it's bad" before Noel hit back saying: "Oh, pipe down you." Sue continued: "That's really annoyed me. People will understand what I'm getting at when they see the size of the pitch."

Noel then showed fans the size of the pitch and remarked: "All I was trying to do was give you as much space this side for activities."

Sue disagreed, saying: "Honestly, I don't get how you've done that. I genuinely don't." Noel then quipped: "This is coming from somebody that never drives the motorhome."

Sue replied: "No, but at least I don't do stuff like that." Noel added: "You won't do because you don't drive it."

Sue then added further embarrassment to Noel by saying: "Let's tell them about what you did to the minibus as well because last year you went into a pole that was on the side of the road."

A sheepish Noel said: "No, it was a big, bright red and white stripy bollard. Well how am I supposed to see them?" Sue simply answered: "Oh my god."

Fans were quick to comment underneath the video with one saying: "Absolutely hilarious, Noel you definitely got told off there. Noel 'it's only a scratch'. If it had been Sue who scratched it Noel would have been saying 'omg we need a whole new back end'."

A third replied: "Noel is really in the dog house. It's not a small scratch. Hopefully it wont take too much to sort out."

Another wrote: "That will cost you to get fixed and no Noel it’s NOT just a little scratch - Sue’s totally right and I would be foaming as well!!! Having said that we all make mistakes and learn from them - you won’t ever do it again."
