Mystery as contestant edited out of 'MasterChef: The Professionals'
MasterChef: The Professionals is at the centre of a mystery after one of the contestants was edited out of the show due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
The latest instalment of the BBC cooking competition originally saw four hopefuls serving up their tastiest dishes.
But when the show aired this week, there were only three contestants cooking under the watchful eyes of Gregg Wallace, Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti.

The change was flagged up in an onscreen message before the episode aired.
It said: “This programme has been edited and features 3 of the original 4 contestants who took part.”
And a MasterChef statement shared to Deadline and other media outlets later explained that the programme was edited to remove the appearance of one contestant “due to unforeseen circumstances”.

The unusual situation intrigued viewers and Twitter was flooded with messages asking who the fourth person was, and why they were not in the final cut.
“My life is now dedicated to finding out what happened. I hope it’s good,” one curious fan posted.
Another pleaded: “Someone must know what happened to the fourth contestant in last night's #MasterChefUK #masterchefprofessionals? C'mon, spill the beans!”

“Erm please tell me what happened to the fourth chef? I will NEVER be able to sleep,” joked another baffled viewer.
“Mad to me that my Twitter timeline is just speculating about what tier you're going to be in instead of providing the answers I need about the person who was edited out of MasterChef,” said another.
MasterChef: The Professionals returned for its 13th series earlier this month and will see a new crop of contestants vying to be crowned the winner.
