Mystery as several cars vandalised in residential North Woolwich area

Several cars parked just metres away from each other in Newham have been vandalised and have had their windows smashed.

MyLondon found four cars, which were BMWs, Mercedes or Audi models, located around residential streets near to King George V DLR station that had been vandalised. The cars had their front or back windows smashed.

A Met Police spokesperson said it is aware of the vandalism and is looking into the incidents, located in a residential area in North Woolwich.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "We are currently aware of a number of incidents involving cars in and around North Woolwich. We have been made aware that a number of cars have been targeted and have had their windows smashed. We are currently looking into the circumstances."

A Newham Council spokesperson said: "We condemn such acts of mindless criminal damage and will work with police, wherever we can assist, to support their enquiries. We would urge all residents to report criminal activity to the Metropolitan Police immediately."
