Naga Munchetty has revealed that she's had to ban certain outfits from her BBC Breakfast wardrobe following viewer complaints. The seasoned broadcaster, 49, shared instances where she had to ditch particular ensembles after receiving negative feedback from the audience.

During her appearance on Room 101 with host Paul Merton, Naga was questioned about the pressures of being a female presenter and whether she's faced any flak for her fashion choices. She said: "There's only one time I've taken it on board and never worn an outfit again.

"One and a half. The first time, I wore this dress on breakfast and it had a geometric print and two people said it was causing them migraines, so I said, 'absolutely fine, I won't wear that again'."

She continued: "Then there was another one, I bought this brilliant dress, I still have it, this was about ten to twelve years ago and it was black and had all these eyes on it. Two people emailed in saying it was scaring them and giving the nightmares. So that one I have worn since but I haven't worn it much.".

Naga married ITV broadcast consultant James Haggar in 2004. They live in Hertfordshire.

Munchetty was diagnosed with adenomyosis in September 2022 and revealed her diagnosis during her BBC Radio 5 Live programme in May 2023.

Adenomyosis is a condition where the lining of the womb (uterus) starts growing into the muscle in the wall of the womb. The NHS says symptoms include painful periods, heavy bleeding during your period, pelvic pain, bloating, heaviness or fullness in your tummy and pain during sex.
