Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber Dine Out with Son Sasha, 16: 'So Proud'

The actress and her ex spent time with their son in photos posted on Instagram on June 22

Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber are “proud” parents!

On Saturday, June 22, the actress, 55 — who recently renewed her wedding vows with husband Billy Crudup in Mexico —  posted two sweet photos on her Instagram Stories showing herself and her ex, Schreiber, 56, spending time with their eldest child, son Sasha, 16.

In the first photo, Watts, Sasha and the Ray Donovan actor, who married Taylor Neisen in 2023, posed together for a selfie as they stood outside next to a car. Smiling in the sunshine, the trio all wore light-colored outfits, with the teen in a white polo shirt with green detailing as his parents both sported white T-shirts.

“So proud of you @sashapeteschreiber,” Watts wrote above the snap, adding three heart emojis below.

Next, Watts shared a pic of the trio together again, this time dining out at a restaurant. Sasha — in the same polo shirt — rested his hand on a menu as his smiling parents sat on either side of him. Schreiber had switched to a green polo for the meal, while Watts appeared to have added a cream blazer over her T-shirt.

Though she didn’t caption the second snap, the actress tagged her ex and son in the post.

Watts and Schreiber ended their 11-year relationship in 2016, but they have reunited many times over the years since their amicable split as they co-parent Sasha and their second child, Kai, 15.

The recent outing took place after Watts celebrated a vow renewal ceremony with Crudup, 55, on June 8 in Mexico City, following their courthouse ceremony in New York City in June 2023.

The celebration was attended by the likes of Nicole Kidman, Justin Theroux and his girlfriend Nicole Brydon Bloom, as well as the couple's family and friends.

Watts' brother, photographer Ben Watts, first confirmed the news of the ceremony, sharing an Instagram post on that featured his sister in an elevator wearing a white gown, holding flowers and surrounded by Crudup and their respective children.

A few days after the ceremony, a source revealed to PEOPLE that the Mexico vow renewal was a "special" moment for the couple.

"They had a beautiful ceremony last year, but really wanted to celebrate their one-year anniversary with more friends," the source said. "The vow renewal in Mexico was perfect. It was all beautiful and special."

"After being married for a year, Naomi and Billy still act like newlyweds. They are so cute together, and Naomi is very happy," they added.

Back in April, Schreiber — who welcomed daughter Hazel with wife Neisen in August 2023 — appeared on Live with Kelly and Mark and revealed that Sasha is "bummed" about being at school in Vermont, as it means he isn't able to spend as much time with his new baby sister.

"They're amazing. Sasha and Kai, you know them. They love her. It's been really great," the actor explained to the hosts at the time, adding, "I just talked to Sasha, who's up at this terrific school in Vermont called The Mountain School, where he's taking care of animals, and he just said that he's bummed out because he's missing being with her."
