The series follows Lady Jane Grey, as she's forced to marry the brooding Guildford Dudley and sees herself unexpectedly become Queen of England. Plus, there's some magical creatures called Ethians roaming around, who are humans that can turn into animals.

Who is the narrator of My Lady Jane?
The Prime Video series dropped on 27th June and is a historical reimagining of the life of Lady Jane Grey (who was a real British monarch, FYI!), and sees her sold to the highest bidder and forced to marry Guildford Dudley.
Then, Jane unexpectedly becomes Queen of England while it's plagued by Ethians, humans who can take animal form. Just your usual period drama then! As for the witty narrator of the series, he is voiced by actor Oliver Chris.
Previously, he has starred in Emma, Living and The Crown, What’s Love Got To Do With It and more. He’s also appeared in lots of comedies such as Motherland, Green Wing and The Office. Now, of course, he's the hilarious narrator of My Lady Jane.
