Arrested said it has more than 20 film and TV projects in development, including a Deadline-revealed adaptation of Strictly Come Dancing dancer Johannes Radebe’s memoir JoJo: Finally Home, Becoming Eve, with writer and Nurse Jackie creator Evan Dunsky attached as showrunner, and Bitter Eden, based on the award-winning novel.

At 5X, Kimble will split his time between Cape Town, London and LA, continuing to focus on the international marketplace while spearheading his current development slate. Additionally, he will develop and produce new scripted TV and feature film projects, as well as scout and manage talent in front of and behind the camera in Africa and Europe. His initial roster of clients will be announced soon.

5X was launched last year by The Hitman’s Bodyguard producer Scott Einbinder, who has since segued to Executive Chairman, while Alon Shtruzman and Gil Goldschein, who used to run Keshet International and Bunim/Murray respectively, recently joined as co-CEOs.

Shtruzman and Goldschein said: “The addition of Anthony and his Arrested Industries’ portfolio instantly supercharges our already impressive slate of projects, reinforcing our intention to be a global player in the content production and management business. Anthony is a consummate team player who brings to us a sophisticated strategic thinker and communicator with a successful track record in business management, development and complex deal execution.”
