Nathan Evans and Saint Phnx get Scotland fan zone rocking in Glasgow

Nathan Evans and Saint Phnx got the Scotland fans going at a Glasgow fan zone last night ahead of their game Cologne.

Scotland drew with Switzerland 1-1 as Scott McTominay scored to keep Scotland's dreams alive as they can still qualify from Euro 2024 Group A.

But ahead of the match, the Scots singers put on a show at Glasgow's fan zone at BaAd.

The trio sang the likes of Loch Lomond and Take Me Home, Country Roads to get the fans feeling patriotic.

They also sang their new tune Home, which they floated as Scotland's new unofficial National Anthem.

The 29-year-old Wellerman star said: "To see people saying it should be the anthem for the Euros is incredible.

"It's something I could never have dreamed of. It's overwhelming. If there's enough demand we'll release it as a single."

He added: "The feedback has been absolutely incredible. If 12-year-old me could see some of these comments he'd be having a fit. I'm a massive football fan. I've been playing football since I was a tiny wee guy.

"It fills me with passion and joy and love and it has a Scottish fighting spirit and emotions that hopefully can fill the fans with the same emotions and drive the team on. That would be incredible.

"Whether it's the fans, people watching from home or listening to it on their headphones on the plane on their way to Germany. I hope they get the same feeling."

The boys will be heading out on tour together in October, visiting London, Glasgow and Dublin.

However, after their performance at BaAd, the match was underway and Steve Clarke 's side gave everything they had on the pitch, but the fans were left worried as Kieran Tierney was stretchered off with what looked like a serious injury after falling awkwardly while challenging Switzerland winger Dan Ndoye, who looked odds-on to score.

Andy Robertson came close to setting up a late winner with a great header across goal for McTominay as the clock ticked into injury time, but Manchester City rival Manuel Akanji popped up to clear it and celebrate like he'd scored at the other end.

It could be a priceless point in the end for Scotland, who move onto the Hungary game on Sunday with their confidence restored following a performance full of that trademark grit and quality.
