Yahoo News Neighbours anger as Toadie catches Sonya with old flame
Neighbours lawyer Toadie Rebecchi fears the worst next week when he spots his estranged wife Sonya looking cosy with her old flame Sam Feldman.
As we revealed recently, show bosses have cast Alex Tsitsopoulos in the role of Sam – the guy that Sonya could have ended up with years ago if their circumstances had been different.
In a classic soapy twist, Toadie (Ryan Moloney) has also unwittingly hired Sam as his therapist – spilling out his deepest and darkest secrets while completely unaware of Sam's true identity.
Next week, we'll see this very awkward situation come to a head when Sam sees Sonya (Eve Morey) for the first time since arriving in Erinsborough.
The pair's long-lost connection is quickly reignited as they catch up, but Sam is startled when he realises that Sonya is Toadie's wife.
Wanting to do the right thing, Sam attempts to get in contact with Toadie to let him know about this serious complication to their professional relationship.
Sadly, busy Toadie doesn't pick up his phone – leading to trouble when he discovers the unfortunate coincidence for himself.
Toadie is completely thrown to stumble upon Sam and Sonya making up for lost time together – fearing this will be a serious obstacle to his own hopes of a reunion with Sonya.
Paranoid Toadie also suspects that Sam worked out Sonya was his wife during their sessions and started feeding him bad advice to keep them estranged.
When confronted, Sam denies this – but is Toadie right to be suspicious over a possible ulterior motive?
Neighbours airs these scenes on Wednesday, October 4 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
