Former footballer Neil 'Razor' Ruddock has been flaunting his impressive weight loss, celebrating the fact that he now fits into an XL shirt. The 55 year old looked ecstatic as he posed for a photo before jetting off to Spain, less than two years after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery to help him lose weight.

Ruddock has previously spoken openly about his struggles with food and drink, admitting that his habits had spiralled out of control. Earlier this year, he revealed that he'd shed seven stone following the successful surgery.

The Celebrity Big Brother star could be seen posing in his kitchen next to a small suitcase, wearing a Ralph Lauren polo shirt and showing off his slimmed-down figure. He captioned the post: "Morning people, I'm off to Alicante for a few days for work.

"Do you like my new polo? It's only an XL! ! I can't remember the last time I was in an XL...I really feel on top of the world! I'll be skipping through Gatwick Airport this morning .", reports the Mirror.

His post quickly racked up over 5,000 likes and was inundated with comments from his followers. "Looking great! ! Love to see it! ! " one fan enthused. Another chimed in with excitement: "Wow looking good and hope U have a great time in Spain and glad U r in a XL and keeping yourself fit and healthy."

A third supporter added "Looking great champ, catch up soon," while yet another follower exclaimed, "Mate you look so good! Smashing it legend."

One admirer commented, "Looking incredible Razor well done for the continued hard work fella," Meanwhile, another of Neil's fans wrote: "You look great, Razor. Thanks for all the memories and here's to you giving us countless more memories. Onwards and upwards, mate."

Reflecting on his weight loss via Twitter last month, Neil remarked, "I can't remember the last time I got a suit where I was a 46. Feeling very proud of myself today." He also offered encouragement to others, saying: "For those that have struggled over the years, if I can do this you can too, I promise you. 10 stone and counting. This is the best I have felt since I was playing."

The celebrity, who had to have a pacemaker fitted after his weight hit 27 stone, has previously admitted to living off takeaways and avoiding leaving the house during lockdown. Speaking to the Daily Star, he confessed, "I was on a Deliveroo diet. Doctors had told me I had a bad knee and needed to get to the gym, but I had the perfect argument against everything they tried to get me to do.

"My pacemaker was fine, and my bloods kept coming back fine, so I was always like, 'F**k it, I'll get to it another time'. Then Covid came and it made me lazier and lazier sitting on my backside ordering food all day... it was heaven!

"You could order McDonald's so it was Big Macs, and Sunday came and you could order a roast. I had got big into ciders and would eat two bacon or egg sandwiches every morning. But it spiralled out of control. My portion sizes were massive I could eat four times as much as anyone else, and I'm just one of those unlucky people that balloon."
