Netflix announce Selling The City, a Selling Sunset spin-off show in New York

Major news guys. Netflix has officially announced a new Selling Sunset spin-off show: Selling the City, based in New York. Yep, that's right, a new set of agents will be taking on the luxurious real estate world in the Big Apple, and we couldn't be *more* excited.

Selling the City is the third spin-off from the main show - the first was Selling Tampa, which was cancelled after just one season, followed by Selling the OC, which recently dropped its third series.

Netflix also launched a UK show inspired by the Selling franchise: Buying London, where property mogul Daniel Daggers and his "ambitious team of agents at DDRE Global" work to sell some of the most lavish properties in the capital.

But, with the news of a New York version on the horizon, you'll likely want to know all the deets about the upcoming show. Here's everything you need to know about Selling the City...

When was Selling the City confirmed?

Deadline confirmed Selling the City on 30th May, revealing that Netflix's Selling franchise is heading to the Big Apple. The first season will consist of eight episodes.

The publication shared that the show is just one of Netflix's new orders, and that the platform's new reality boss Jeff Gaspin is "looking for a fresh take on the familiar."

Is there a trailer for Selling the City?

As it's still in its early days, Netflix has yet to release a trailer for Selling the City. But, we'll be sure to keep you updated on any developments!

What is Selling the City's confirmed release date?

Again, because the show has only just been announced, there's no release date yet, either.

However, if you're itching for some New York real estate TV, Deadline reported that Netflix recently ordered Owning Manhattan. In a nutshell, it follows Ryan Serhant, who previously starred on Bravo's Million Dollar Listing New York and its spin-off Sell it Like Serhant, as he builds his own brokerage. The show is set to launch on 28th June.

Who might appear in Selling the City?

Because Selling the City is a completely different brokerage, plus, it's set all the way over on the East Coast, it's highly unlikely that any Oppenheim Group agents will pop over to NYC to say hello.

But, it does mean that we'll be introduced to a whole load of new agents, who we're sure will bring as much drama and epic fashion moments as our West Coast faves.

What might happen in Selling the City?

According to Deadline, Selling the City will focus on the agents at real estate brokerage Douglas Elliman as they "navigate the cutthroat world of luxury real estate in New York City."

It's being made by Adam DiVello's Done and Done Productions, which is responsible for the other Selling shows, meaning we can guarantee top-quality entertainment.
