The woman alleged to be the real-life obsessive character depicted in Netflix hit series Baby Reindeer has launched a scathing attack on the "fat actress" playing her. She's even threatened to take legal action against the streaming powerhouse.

As Baby Reindeer continues its ascent to the top 10 of Netflix this week, the Scottish lady who allegedly inspired the storyline has voiced her indignation regarding the casting decision for her character. In the gripping drama, the character Martha (portrayed as a relentless stalker) is played by the gifted actress Jessica Gunning, who hails from Holmfirth, near Huddersfield.

In a candid interview with the Scottish Sun, the incensed woman expressed her grievances over the casting choice and declared a potential lawsuit against the popular streaming platform. The woman told the press with palpable anger: "There's a fat actress that's supposed to be me," further stating, "I am very attractive. He's not Brad Pitt."

With firm denial of any truth in Baby Reindeer's storyline, she is readying herself to sue Netflix due to its portrayal of her. She claimed: "I have a claim against Netflix as this is being billed as part of a true story," and warned, "People are probably saying I'm a mass murderer. This can't continue. I will kick their a**es."

In the midst of the controversy, she has declared her readiness to represent herself in court against Netflix. She confidently stated: "I'm a highly competent lawyer. I'd have to do it myself. I'm very good.", reports the Mirror US.

She further added: "I have a photographic memory and can memorise huge files. I was top in my school at everything."

Baby Reindeer is a drama-thriller series inspired by comedian Richard Gadd's autobiographical one-man show, which recounts his harrowing experience of being relentlessly stalked by a mentally ill woman with a criminal past. Gadd, whose real-life story forms the basis of the series, told Channel 4 in the UK: "At its peak, it was almost unbearable."

Following the release, the woman purportedly behind the character has been subjected to a barrage of hate and death threats from viewers. She has since voiced her concerns, stating that the show "is a gross intrusion into my privacy" and vowing that she will "not be silenced."

Despite fearing the backlash, she insisted: "I'm the victim here, not Richard Gadd. I've had death threats as a result of his show despite the fact that a lot of the things he claimed are just not true."
