Yahoo News Netflix's new murder mystery gets first-look teaser with Nicole Kidman
Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for new murder mystery series The Perfect Couple, starring Nicole Kidman, ahead of its release this autumn.
Based on Elin Hilderbrand's bestselling novel of the same name, the drama centres around a high-profile wedding that takes an unexpected turn when a dead body is found nearby (via The Hollywood Reporter).
Suspicions surrounding the mysterious death continue to grow, with several members of the wedding party considered suspects.
The six-episode series will premiere on the streaming service on Thursday, September 5.

"Amelia Sacks is about to marry into one of the wealthiest families in Nantucket," reads the official logline for the series.
"Her disapproving future mother-in-law, famous novelist Greer Garrison Winbury, has spared no expense in planning what promises to be the premiere wedding of the season – until a body turns up on the beach.
"As secrets come to light, the stage is set for a real-life investigation that feels plucked from the pages of one of Greer's novels. Suddenly, everyone is a suspect."

The thrilling trailer sees bride-to-be Amelia (Eve Hewson) preparing for her big day as she mingles with her groom's glamorous family.
"The key to this family is to just stay on the periphery, where it's safe," warns her future sister-in-law Abby (Dakota Fanning).
The festivities soon turn sour when a body is found on a nearby beach. As police begin their investigation, the family's captivating matriarch Greer (Kidman) is brought in for questioning.

"Is there something you want to tell me?" asks the officer, before Greer's unfazed husband Tag (Liev Schreiber) says: "This all feels a little dramatic for an accidental drowning."
As a media storm ensues, Greer can then be heard saying: "We never know what's going on in someone's mind, really. No matter how close you are."
The Perfect Couple is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Susanne Bier, who will also executive produce alongside showrunner Jenna Lamia.

The series sees Bier reunite with both Kidman and Fanning, after working together on The Undoing and The First Lady respectively.
The Perfect Couple also stars The Serpent's Billy Howle, The White Lotus' Meghann Fahy, A Suitable Boy's Ishaan Khatter, Midsommar's Jack Reynor and Black Cake's Mia Isaac.
Maestro's Sam Nivola, Mayor of Kingstown's Michael Beach, The First Lady's Donna Lynne Champlin and Wingwomen's Isabelle Adjani round out the star-studded cast.
The Perfect Couple will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, September 5.
