That's right, Mel, Jack and the rest of the townsfolk will return for more romance, drama and more for another instalment after the Christmas episodes.

What might be in the Virgin River season 6 plot?
In an interview with Deadline, Virgin River showrunner Patrick Sean Smith shared that season six would kick off with a time jump and that there will be much more in store for Mel, Jack and the rest of the town.
He revealed that we will learn more about Mel's biological father, Everett Reid. "I think we’re exploring more in season six is who Everett Reid is, what his backstory is, what his connection to Virgin River was when he met her mom and then also what it is today since it’s a small town," he said.
Plus, he added that in season six, "we're getting to see Doc and Hope in a place that we haven’t really gotten to see them before, which is healthy." Can't wait!
What is the Virgin River season 6 rumoured release date?
A release date hasn't been confirmed just yet but Alexandra Breckenridge, who plays Mel, says that they hope production will begin in 2024.
"We’re going to start as soon as the Vancouver weather allows," she told Deadline. "So hopefully in the spring is what I’ve been hearing.
"I keep trying to tell them they should just pick up season 7 so we can just knock seasons six and seven and call it a day," she added. Sounds like a plan!
