Neve Campbell believes outer beauty is 'not so important'

Neve Campbell believes external beauty is "not so important".

The 50-year-old Canadian actress has revealed that she values inner beauty more than what's on the outside.

"My idea of beauty is about the inside, and what we give, and kindness, and empathy, and love," Neve told People in a new interview for The Beautiful Issue. "And I think that that is true beauty."

The Scream star continued, "The outside stuff (is) not so important. Luckily, I feel like I've had that from a young age."

Neve went on to reveal how she would define beauty to her two sons, Raynor and Caspian.

"Happy. Be happy, and present, and kind, and have empathy and be aware of other people's stories. That, to me, is beauty," the Wild Things actress shared.

Elsewhere in the interview, Neve said that her style is inspired by her background in dance.

"Relaxed. I'm very relaxed. I'm comfortable," she told the outlet. "Maybe coming from being a dancer. You're in tights all the time, and tutus, and so I find that most dancers walk around in loose sweaters and comfy clothes. And that's carried on for me pretty much my whole life."
