Yahoo News Newcastle bar gets luxurious revamp for summer as stunning new look unveiled
A massively popular Newcastle bar looks set to attract even more interest after having a glam makeover for summer with stunning results.
Since its opening in September 2019 sparked a lot of curiosity, Leila LIly's has established itself as one of the luxurious lynch pins in Newcastle's nightlife scene. Opening in the Grey Street premises that were famous for years for being The Living Room, before being home to the festive Miracle on Grey Street pop up and then Alice in Wonderland themed bar Those Who Know; Leila Lily's was an instant hit with its customers, thanks to its high end food offerings and thirst quenching cocktail menu.
Like all the other boys in the city, it was forced to close its doors, just six months after opening, due to the Covid pandemic, but has thrived ever since, with bustling trade during Restaurant Weeks, makeover and fashion masterclasses and its private party room downstairs being booked for all manner of occasions.

The Geordie Shore cast headed to Leila Lily's last year to film and, having shut its doors for a week in May to allow for some tweaks to be made, the venue is now in the middle of a hectic summer, which saw it packed as race goers partied after Plate Day, with Ladies Day set to be even busier, as the bar also offers ticket holders a free shot with their first drink.
Leila Lily's is a place known for its luxe interior from day one, with its floral decorations appearing on many a social media account over the last five years and now the botanical beauty of the main bar area has been lit up even further thanks to some neon pink lighting to frame both the bar and the window style mirrors in the dining area as you first enter, with the restaurant also looking extra sumptuous thanks to the addition of plush dark green seating.
The transformations for Leila LIly's haven't stopped at its decor either, as substantial changes have also been made to its menus too, with its food offerings boosted by dishes like turmeric roast chicken and chicken gyros and its drinks being boosted by concoctions like Banana Split and Drunk in Summer.
