Newcastle United keeper Loris Karius has married famous TV presenter girlfriend Diletta Leotta in a stunning ceremony on a Sicilian island. just days before his exit from the club.

Loris signed for NUFC on a short term contract in September 2022, before that was then extended and he made his debut for the Magpies in the final of the Carabao Cup in February last year, with Nick Pope suspended and Martin Dubravka cup tied due to his loan spell at opponents Manchester United.

Newcastle lost the Wembley decider 2-0 and it would be almost a full year until Loris was between the posts for his side again, this time in a 4-1 away defeat to Arsenal.

it was announced after the season ended that Loris wouldn't be having his contract renewed with him and others including Paul Dummett and Matt RItchie, being let go. By the end of this week Loris will no longer be a United player, after plenty of rumours both he and Diletta, a sports anchor in her native land, were keen for him to make a switch to Italy.

But, before he searches for a new club, Loris thoughts were firmly focused on his big day, as he and Diletta, who gave birth to the couple's first child together last year, tied the knot at the five-star Therasia Resort, with guests including Elisabetta Canalis, Michelle Hunziker, and Elodie and Eleonora Berlusconi.

Inside sources from the wedding have revealed that Diletta, who works for broadcaster Dazn and actually covered the Carabao Cup final her now husband played in, walked down the aisle to John Legend hit All of Me, wearing a veil carrying the words 'All I ever wanted'.. Loris too looked that part in a sharp cream tuxedo jacket and black trousers, with him sharing snapshots from the day on his Instagram grid and story.

Diletta made no secret of the fact she wasn't the biggest fan of Loris playing for Newcastle. Despite being blown away by the atmosphere created by fans in Trafalgar Square on the eve of the Carabao Cup final, she didn't embrace his new hometown and remarked: "I live in Milan, so let's say being close to Milan would be ideal for us. I always tell him, players who come to Serie A then fall in love with Italy and often stay there forever. I think that could happen to him too.:

"Newcastle is very inconvenient because there are no direct flights. Neither about Paris nor about Amsterdam."
