Mark Gillespie celebrated his upcoming wedding in style at the weekend, with the keeper being being joined by past and present Newcastle United stars for his stag do in Ibiza.

Having been on the books at the NUFC Academy, Mark, 32, moved to Carlisle at the age of 16, before going onto play for the likes of Walsall and Motherwell, before making a return to United in 2020, 12 years on from his exit. While he has been on the bench on a regular basis for the Magpies, Mark's first team appearances have been restricted, to three League Cup appearances in 2020/21.

A popular member of the squad, the stopper saw his contract extended for a year last month and now, ahead of the new Premier League season, he has been letting off some steam on the White Isle for his stag, with him being joined by a host of stars who will be instantly familiar to Newcastle fans.

Amongst the revellers for the hectic weekend were Paul Dummett, who has just left the club after 24 years, current squad member and highly rated midfielder Elliot Anderson and former striker Andy Carroll, with the Gateshead born player seen striking a pose at famous Ibiza haunt Ocean Beach.

Other photos shared online over the course of the last few days, showed that United midfielder Sandro Tonali, signed from AC Milan for £55m last year, before receiving a lengthy ban for betting on matches, also joined the party.

Right before jetting off with now ex teammate and close friend Paul Dummett, Mark shared a photo of the pair as Newcastle United youngsters, writing: "From Red House Farm Vs West Denton u8s and seeing that rocket left foot cause havoc, it’s been an absolute pleasure to see a 24 year Newcastle United career unfold down to hard work, commitment and sacrifice. Through the highs, lows and sliding tackles, be immensely proud of everything you have given to your hometown club"
