Swinging from extreme heights by a piece of string might seem daunting to most actors, but 'The Amazing Spider-Man' actor Andrew Garfield has insisted that it wasn't the action scenes that were "frightening" but his sex scenes with girlfriend Emma Stone.

The 28-year-old stars as Peter Parker in the new movie opposite Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone, and he admits that filming those lovey-dovey moments was quite hard.

"The romantic scenes have to be spontaneous and free and terrifying because that's what first love is," he told The Sun. "In a weird way, the love scenes were actually more frightening than swinging through the buildings, especially because it's Emma - she's terrifying."

The couple started dating after they finished filming the new movie after meeting on set. As previously reported, the actor fell for Emma hard once she auditioned.

"We got on really well as people between takes," he explained. "That was the fun stuff. We'd just mess around and I felt, 'Ah, this is different.'

"Emma keeps you on your toes and that wakes you up. That was the beginning."

Aren't these two cute? Could they be up for 'Hollywood Couple Of The Year' Award?
