'I Was Never Anorexic': Kate Moss Opens Up About Eating Disorder And Heroine Rumours

Kate Moss is an icon of British fashion and culture over the last 20 years, but despite her high profile the model is an elusive character, choosing to ignore rumours and speculation about her private life in the tabloids, of which there have been many, that is until now.

In a new interview the supermodel has opened up about claims she's "pro-anorexic" and being the face of "heroin chic," during the early nineties.

Speaking to Allure magazine Moss, who has been at the cutting edge of fashion for two decades, admitted while she's famed for her nonchalant attitude, allegations she had encouraged anorexia, when she claimed "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels," were hurtful.

"It was horrible, especially the anorexic thing," she confessed to the magazine. "The heroin, I was like, 'Oh, it’s just ridiculous I don’t do heroin. Just because I wear a bit of black eyeliner that’s smudged'."

The model, who is approaching her 40th birthday, went on: "But the anorexic thing was a lot more upsetting, to be held responsible for somebody’s illness. I wasn’t anorexic."

Moss is as famous for her love of partying as she is for her turns on the runway, but sometimes it's easy to forget she's mum to 11 year-old Lila Grace. Revealing her daughter is a huge fan of the movie 'The Devil Wears Prada she said:

"She's watched The Devil Wears Prada ten times, and she's got a desk in her room with a phone . . . She puts a little outfit on and picks up the phone: 'Hello, Miranda Priestly's office.' I say, 'Lila, do you know who Miranda Priestly is in real life?' But she just doesn't care."

The fashion icon went on: "She's like, 'Hello, Miranda Priestly's office. Can you hold? Patrick Demarchelier on the line!' I died when I heard her do it. So funny. She doesn't have a clue who she is, but it's word for word."

Sounds like she's following in her mum's footsteps!
