Bryan Cranston And Aaron Paul 'Likely' To Cameo In Breaking Bad Spin Off

Breaking Bad may have come to an end last month but fans still have the spin off 'Better Call Saul' to look forward to. And now, just to add to the excitement, the show's creator has teased that Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are likely to cameo in the new series.

AMC recently announced that Breaking Bad character Saul Goodman (played by Bob Odenkirk) will star in a prequel to the smash hit series, due to hit screens in Autumn 2014.

Creator Vince Gilligan has since revealed further details on the anticipated project, confirming to The Hollywood Reporter that the show will be a one hour comedy and will retain many of the visual hallmarks of the original series:

"We're both [Gilligan and producer Peter Gould] one-hour drama guys. So we figured, 'Why not shoot Saul in the same way?'" he explained. "Let's shoot it in Albuquerque, let's get as much of the crew back together as possible, and let's do it the way we did it before so that it will be of a piece with that pre-existing fictional universe that we had so much fun creating."

Gilligan added that Breaking Bad leads Cranston and Paul have already said they'd both be up for appearances in the prequel:  "Personally, I'd have a hard time resisting putting all these guys in for a cameo or two every now and then," the producer and writer confirmed.

Meanwhile it was revealed this week that Breaking Bad has found itself another high profile fan in the form of acting legend Sir Anthony Hopkins, who has penned a gushing review of the hit show following a marathon viewing session.

Sir Anthony was keen to see what all the fuss was about, writing in a letter to the show's star Cranston that he went on a binge watching session to get through all five seasons of the show.

The letter from the Silence of the Lambs star first appeared on Steven Michael Quezada's (who plays DEA agent Steve Gomez) Facebook page. Although the actor took it down, the note soon went viral.

There's since been confirmation from Sir Anthony's publicist who appeared on Today to confirm the letter was real.

Sir Anthony wrote of the show: "I have never watched anything like it. Brilliant!". Addressing Cranston he added:

"Your Walter White was the best acting I have seen—ever. I know there is so much smoke blowing and sickening bullsh*t in this business, and I've sort of lost belief in anything really. But this work of yours is spectacular—absolutely stunning."
