Cannes 2014 Is A Man's World As Robert Pattinson And Ryan Gosling Prepare To Hit The Festival

Forget the couture gowns and gorgeous ladies, this year's Cannes Film Festival is all about the men as the likes of Robert Pattinson, Ryan Gosling and maybe even Fifty Shades hunk Jamie Dornan prepare to hit the South of France.

The 2014 festival officially opens tomorrow and while movie bigwigs will be keeping a firm eye on a fresh batch of films, we'll be keeping an eye out for some suited and booted actors. Here's your guide to hunk spotting at Cannes.

Friday May 16

Will Ryan Reynolds bring his wife Blake? (WENN)

Kicking things off...Ryan Reynolds is expected to show for a screening of his latest project The Captive on Friday. Don't expect him to go solo though, the actor will most likely bring his equally gorgeous wife Blake Lively as his date.

Saturday May 17

Keep an eye out for James McAvoy (WENN)

X-Men star James McAvoy is expected to hit the red carpet for his latest film Eleanor Rigby over the weekend, right in the middle of his hectic promo tour for Days of Future Past. His very stunning co-star Jessica Chastain will also be in attendance but who's looking at her?

Sunday May 18

Rob Pattinson has not one but two movies at this year's festival (WENN)

Sunday night is Robert Pattinson's first big moment at the festival as the first of his two movies The Rover is screened. Guy Pierce also stars in the gritty drama but RPatz will no doubt be the star of the red carpet.

Monday May 19

Channing Tatum will hopefully make an appearance (WENN)

It'll be a busy couple of days for our RPatz with the Brit back on Monday for the second of his screenings, this time it's Maps to the Stars.

It's a double dose of hunks on this day too as Channing Tatum will also be flying in for Foxcatcher.

Monday May 20

Ryan Gosling turns director (WENN)

One of the most anticipated screenings hits Cannes on Tuesday with Ryan Gosling's first turn as director for Lost River receiving its premiere.

And just in case Ryan wasn't enough, the movie's star, former Doctor Who Matt Smith, is also expected to be at the festival to do the promo rounds.

Forget Fifty Shades we want to see Flying Home! (WENN)

And what about Jamie Dornan? Jamie's under the radar movie Flying Home is expected to receive a screening at the festival but there's no confirmed date yet.

A message on the Belgian movie's Facebook page last month stated: "Flying Home will be presented at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival in May" so fingers crossed Jamie will round off the hunk spotting with an appearance!
