Captain America Cast In London For Premiere

Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Samuel L Jackson have jetted into London for the premiere of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Johansson, who is reported to be five months' pregnant, reprises her role as Natasha Romanoff / the Black Widow in the Marvel sequel.

Evans stars as Steve Rogers and his superhero alter-ego Captain America, while Jackson is Shield leader Nick Fury.

After reprising her role for the third time since 2010's Iron Man 2, Johansson said she would now like the Russian spy to star in her own film.

"If you want to see a Black Widow spin-off movie, then I want to see it," she said.

"We'll see. We will put the request into Marvel tomorrow."

She showed off her curves in a scarlet dress by Vivienne Westwood, which she teamed with red lips and nails and animal-print Christian Louboutin heels.

The actress, who will slip back into Romanoff's slinky catsuit for Avengers: Age Of Ultron, was concerned the outfit may not fit this time around.

"It was great. You never know what's going to happen when you put it on. But luckily it zipped up," she said.

Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and British actress Hayley Atwell also attended the showcase at Westfield London.

The film is directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo and based on the characters from the Marvel comics.

It sees Rogers trying to adapt to living in the modern world, but he has to join forces with the Black Widow when he discovers a widening conspiracy which threatens to put the world at risk.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will open in UK cinemas on March 26.
