Corrie lesbians steamy in love triangle

Coronation Street's teen lesbians are to become embroiled in a steamy love triangle this Christmas.

The raunchy storyline will kick off in October when Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) cheats on girlfriend Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) with shopkeeper Dev Alahan's (Jimmi Harkishin) bisexual daughter Amber Kalirai (Nikki Patel).

Amber will have her eye on Sophie for a while, but seizes her opportunity by lacing her drink with gin when the pair are on a night out while Sian is on holiday.

As the teen temptress makes her move, loved-up Sophie's first reaction is to pull away, but the duo are soon kissing passionately.

The guilt-ridden brunette will then ask Sian to marry her in a romantic Christmas civil partnership, but as the ceremony draws closer, she comes to realise it's actually Amber who she wants to be with.

A 'Coronation Street' insider told The Sun newspaper: "It's all going to get very messy indeed. Sophie will be split about Sian and Amber - but it will be her feelings for Amber that will win the day.

"Sian will be devastated and will end up leaving Weatherfield for good."

Sacha Parkinson - who plays Sian in the ITV1 soap - is due to leave 'Corrie' in early 2012.
