'Am I A Criminal? Am I A War Hero?' Benedict Cumberbatch And Keira Knightley Star In New Imitation Game Trailer

A new trailer for Benedict Cumberbatch's hugely anticipated new drama The Imitation Game has dropped online, ahead of the film's Opening Night Gala screening at next week's London Film Festival.

The film sees Benedict playing Alan Turing, maths genius, the pioneer of modern-day computing and the man credited with cracking the German Enigma code. The new trailer focuses on Benedict's arrival at Britain's top-secret code-breaking centre Bletchley Park as the World War 2 casualty numbers soar. Can Turing end the conflict by cracking the code?

This new look shows some fresh scenes of Turing meeting his team at Bletchley and it's safe to say he doesn't exactly have charm. The arrival of Keira Knightley's character Joan Clarke though signals the start of a close bond between Turing and his fellow code breaker, mirroring Benedict and Keira's long friendship in real life.

The Imitation Game kicks off this month's star-studded BFI London Film Festival which also features big new movies like Reese Witherspoon's Wild and Channing Tatum and Steve Carell's Foxcatcher. While Benedict and Keira open the festivities, the closing night movie will be another war drama, the Brad Pitt starring Fury.

The Imitation Game opens the BFI London Film Festival on October 8, before it's released nationwide on November 14.
