Victoria and David Beckham have officially cut all ties with the UK as they put their British home, ‘Beckingham Palace’ on the market.

We are not really surprised after four years in the sunshine of California that the family want to make the move permanent, but we always hoped that the footballer could be tempted back to British shores.

A source told The Sun: “The Beckhams have made LA their home, and the kids are settled there.” The super-rich couple and their four children see Hollywood as their home now and no longer have any use for the £2.5 million mansion.

The 36 year-old footballer extended his contract with L.A. Galaxy after speculation that he would be moving to Paris St Germain at the end of last year a sign that the Beckhams are there for the long haul.

A source revealed: “David and Victoria have been wanting to sell up for a couple of years now but the timing was never right.”

"They don’t need the money, as such, but no longer use either place and realise in this current climate it’s crazy to effectively throw cash away.”

But they aren’t quitting the UK completely, designer du jour Victoria will still have a studio in London and is looking for a small apartment in the city for her work.

A source added: “She has already looked at a couple of apartments near Hyde Park and may decide to buy later this year.”

Despite living the LA lifestyle for four years now the Beckhams are still proud to be British. Victoria took to twitter earlier this week to show off a British feast she had prepared for the children.
