Game Of Thrones - Season 4 Episode 6 - 'The Laws of Gods and Men'

Tonight's episode of 'Game Of Thrones' focused mainly around the trial of Tyrion Lannister who is being accused of killing King Joffrey at the Purple Wedding with poison. However, if you've been watching each episode we learned recently that Littlefinger and Olenna Tyrell (grandmother of Loras and Margaery) may have had something to do with it because she didn't approve. Here are five thing's we learned from the episode tonight titled 'The Laws of Gods and Men'.

1. Stannis Baratheon heads to the Iron Bank

Taking the advice of Ser Davos, Stannis and he travel to Braavos where they visit the Iron Bank to request a loan. Here we meet a new face going by the name of Tycho Nestoris. Nestoris is a representative of the Iron Bank of Braavos but doesn't seem too keen on offering any help to Stannis, despite pleas from Ser Davos about who he really is and what he's done. Davos is quick to tell the Iron Bank that Stannis is their only chance of getting any of the money back owed to them by the Lannisters reminding them of just how old Tywin really is and that if Cersei and Tommen are left in power - they have no hope of ever getting their money back.

2. Yara Greyjoy wants to save her brother

Theon On a ship in the middle of the ocean Yara Greyjoy is briefing her men of their quest to save her brother Theon who as we've seen before had been mutilated by Ramsay Snow. Heading onto land Yara and her men are quick to get rid of any of Ramsay Snow's fighters and they are taken to Theon in the dungeon but doesn't look thrilled to see her and begins to panic. Theon, who now seems to answer to the name of Reek has seemingly forgotten who he really is and refuses to leave.

Ramsay appears, everyone fights and then he threatens to release vicious dogs from the pens asking them how quick they can run. We later see Ramsay and Theon - or Reek as he now calls himself and Ramsay has run Reek a bath saying he wants to praise him for not leaving with the others. As Reek gets into the bath Ramsay begins bathing him and asks him to pretend to be someone he isn't - "Theon Greyjoy".

3. Daenerys has lost control of her dragons - they're no longer babies

This won't come as a surprise but in tonight's episode we watched as a young boy who was in a field with his father and some goats was throwing stones off a steep hill. After throwing a few stones the little boy is greeted with one of Daenerys' dragons who quickly flies over the top of the little boy, breathes fire into the field and sets one of the goats on fire. The dragon quickly scoops up the torched goat for food and flies away leaving the little boy slightly frightened about what he's just witnessed.

4. Everyone wants to speak with Daenerys - it's almost Dragons Den

Daenerys appears to be taking a break from taking over other armies and tonight dealt with the people who she has already saved. Various people came up to speak with her, making their pleas including the man who lost a goat thanks to her dragons, she agrees to repay him their value three times over. A second man is ushered in who wishes to speak with Daenerys - Hizdahr zo Laraq - who belongs to one of the oldest families in Meereen. He explains to Daenerys that his Father maintained many of the structures in Meerreen, including the pyramid where she was sat in. When she proclaims that she wishes to meet him he explains that she crucified him. Hizdahr begs Daenerys for his fathers body so he can give him a proper burial to which she quickly agrees. The Mother of Dragons then asks how many more people want to see her - she's told more than 200.

5. Tyrion stands on trial for the murder of King Joffrey

The day has finally arrived where Tyrion stands in front of the court facing the charge of murdering King Joffrey at the Purple Wedding a few weeks ago - which we know he didn't do but will they believe him? Things don't seem to go his way however as everyone who stands up to speak slates him and accuses him of murder based of things he's said to them in the past. A final witness is called after a one hour break and it's Shae. Turning her back on Tyrion she tells the court that he is guilty and that he planned the death of Joffrey with his wife Sansa after what Joffrey did to her father.

Tyrion eventually interrupts Shae explaining that he wants to confess. As everyone gasps he continues to confess, not to the murder of Joffrey but rather of "a far more monstrous crime". He explains to the court that he is "guilty of being a dwarf" and that it's something he's been on trial for his entire life. He continues to say that he wishes he was the monster that they all thought he was and that Joffrey dying gave him more pleasure than any w**** ever could. He adds that he wants to let the Gods decide his fate and demands a trial by combat before the episode comes to a sudden end.
