Will Lupita Nyong’o Play The Lead Role In New Star Wars Reboot?

After her amazing performance in 12 Years A Slave, it's no wonder that everyone in Hollywood would love to have Lupita Nyong’o in their films and according to latest rumours, the Oscar winner is in talks with producers to star as the female lead in mega blockbuster Star Wars Episode VII. How great would that be?!

Reports claim the 30-year-old met up with the Star Wars sequel director JJ Abrams just days before her huge win at this year's Oscars, where Lupita bagged the Best Supporting Actress gong.

When questioned about the rumours, the actress' rep told Latino Review: "We’re not allowed to talk about that."

Meanwhile, there have been claims that suggest Girls actor Adam Driver has landed the role of the Star Wars VII villain.

Despite there being no official confirmation that Driver has landed the role, his Girls co-star Lena Dunham appeared to suggest on Twitter that the actor had already landed the role. She tweeted: "We're VERY proud of Adam Driver re: Star Wars. He's about to rip a hole in da force. Is that a thing? I guess I should see those movies?"

But Lena quickly declared that she was only speculating and that she didn't know anything. She added: "I confirm nothing bc I know nothing bc I'm on a plane with my dad! I just like Adam more than almost anyone, and JJ Abrams a whole lot too.(sic)"

There are also rumours doing the rounds that say Downton Abbey star Ed Speleers and Breaking Bad hunk Jesse Plemons are eying up a role in the movie, following the reports that the actors have both gone up for the role of the apprentice Jedi.

So if all these reports are true, the next Stars Wars film will definitely be one to watch!
