Revealing her excitement for the 50th anniversary episode, Jenna Louise Coleman recently told EntertainmentWise: "How do I say without saying anything? Reading especially the finale of this series as well – without giving too much away – is really epic and it’s a treat for the fans of the last 50 years."

Matt later quipped: "It somehow manages to pay homage to everything and look forward."

Admitting to being excited about being in the role of the Doctor during such an important year for the show, Matt gushed: "Well it’s the show’s year, but to be the incumbent Doctor is the most thrilling. But to be a part of it now is a huge privilege and we’re upping the scale of everything, it’s 3D and there’s just a bit more for your buck."
