Rav Wilding Quits Splash! Due To Injury

TV presenter Rav Wilding's role on Splash has come to a premature end after he had to pull out after suffering an injury.

"I was genuinely loving the opportunity to learn an Olympic event that I had admired since I was a little kid, so I'm bitterly disappointed to get injured in this way," Digital Spy reports.

He may be leaving the show, but Wilding still plans to watching the new series when it starts. He said: "I am very much looking forward to watching the series when it starts!"

It looks like the star will be getting his injury sorted soon though, he tweeted to his fans: "Just seen an amazing surgeon who thinks he can operate on my leg in the next few days."

Martin Offiah, a former rugby league player, is set to take Wilding's place in the competition

The celebrity diving show started last year with British skier, Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards winning the first series.

Olympic medalist, Tom Daley, is set to mentor all the celebrities taking part for the second time around. He's said to be delighted that Splash! is returning for another series. The show consistently pulled in great ratings despite it not doing so well with critics.

According to The Sun, Daley said: "I am over the moon to hear Splash! will run for a second season. It’s a dream come true for me to be involved in an entertainment show which has been so successful and also fits so well around my training schedule."

Other celebs that have been rumoured to be in this series are Hollyoaks star, Gemma Merna, TV presenter, Paul Ross and TOWIE's Gemma Collins.
