Robert Pattinson Partied With 'New Love Interest' Shannon Woodward Before Kristen Stewart Cheating Scandal

While we thought Katy Perry was the one who had her eye on Robert Pattinson insiders have actually claimed it is Katy's friend Shannon Woodward, the ex-girlfriend of actor Andrew Garfield, who is getting close to the Brit hunk following his split from Kristen Stewart.

The 'Raising Hope' actress has reportedly fancied him for a while and is hoping that now Kristen is off the scene, she can move in on the 'Twilight' hunk. While Rob is said to be still unsure about his future with Kristen, Shannon has been making moves on the actor and he hasn't exactly been fighting her off according to reports.

“R-Pattz and Shannon have been getting really close,” a source told the Daily Star.

“She's fancied him for years, but he's always been dating Kristen when their paths crossed at social events.”

But did their flirtation start before Kristen's affair with Rupert Sanders was exposed? Rob was partying with Shannon only weeks before Kristen was caught cheating with the 'Snow White and The Huntsman' director at the premiere of Katy Perry's movie 'Part of Me 3D'.

Shannon joined Katy, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez at the Chateau Marmont after the premiere and partied into the night with the group, with Kristen Stewart nowhere to be seen.

While the actress claimed soon after photographs of her kissing the married 41 year-old director were released by Us Weekly that it was “momentary indiscretion”, there could have been problems between the couple for her to stray in the first place.

Was she with Rupert while Rob was getting close to Shannon? According to the source, Shannon and Rob have got close because she “understands” what its like to break up in the limelight.

The brunette was dumped by Andrew Garfield after he fell for 'Spider Man' co-star Emma Stone.

The source explained: “She understands what Rob's going through.

“She split up with Andrew after he fell in love with his Spider-Man co-star Emma Stone.”

Rob and Andrew infamously do not get on with the 'Social Network' star reportedly hating the 'Twilight' hunk.

A source told Us Weekly: "The truth is, Andrew can't stand Rob. Andrew hates that they're put in the same category because they're both English and around the same age."

"They don't enjoy hanging out. Andrew considers himself a 'serious actor' and sees Rob as the equivalent of a cheesy boy-bander because of 'Twilight'."

Hmm so we reckon Andrew would be pretty annoyed if Shannon got together with the now single Rob!

With rumours circulating that Katy Perry has been enjoying dates with Rob, we wonder if the 'Firework' star is just setting things up for him and Shannon to get close, like he did with her and Florence and the Machine rocker Robert Ackroyd?
