Strictly's Johannes Radebe talks exit from showGuy Levy

Strictly Come Dancing star Johannes Radebe has broken his silence following his exit from the show.

Johannes and celebrity partner Annabel Croft were eliminated at the semi-final stage on Sunday (December 10), losing out to Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell in the dance-off to agonisingly miss out on a place in the final.

Despite coming so close to reaching the showpiece event, Johannes has no regrets and expressed his gratitude to Annabel and her family with a heartfelt post on Instagram, which was accompanied by a photo of the pair with her children in the studio.

“I am overwhelmed by messages and kind words and I would love to say thank you to each and everyone of you for your love and support, and for taking the time to vote throughout this season of Strictly,” he began.

“There are no words to say how much Annabel, Amber, Lilly and Charlie mean to me. I wish I had known Mel – he must have been an incredible man to have such a beautiful family. I hope we did you proud.

“Annabel, you will always have my heart and a big thank you to your wonderful children because we couldn't have done this without their support. I end this season with the most wonderful memories to cherish and friends for life.

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to @bbcstrictly for sending Annabel my way and also to everyone involved in the making of this show. This experience wouldn’t be what it is without you and I am grateful to be a part of this. You are all amazing.”

Johannes concluded by giving the remaining finalists – Layton Williams, Ellie Leach and Bobby – all his “love and good luck” for the final, with the couples having to perform three dances as part of the mega event.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
