Matt's comments about the BBC Proms comes after the actor was spotted filming on set alongside former Doctor Who David Tennant for the 50th anniversary special. Speaking about returning to the show for the special episode which will also see the likes of Billie Piper and Joanna Page, David told the Radio Times recently:

"It is strange being back in the same suit, but it also feels very familiar and comfortable. There's nothing quite like Doctor Who. It has a wonderful excitement about it. I always had happy times there."

Revealing his excitement over working with Bille again, the actor who can now be seen trying to solve the murder of Danny Latimer in ITV's hit Broadchurch, added:

"It's lovely to be around Billie again, even though I see her all the time anyway."

However, Tennant isn't the only one who is excited about the 50th anniversary special as Matt Smith who is currently playing Doctor Who told EntertainmentWise recently:

"As much as I would love to tell you everything. I read it (the script) and I clapped at the end and I think it’s hilarious, I think it’s epic and I think it’s fast and I'm telling you nothing more but you will not be disappointed."

Gushing about the year ahead for the show, Matt added: "I think it’s going to be the biggest, the best, the most inventive, the most exciting year for the show and I think this script delivers on all those points you want it to for where the show is at this time. It’s brilliant."
