The Week In Miley Cyrus: From Nipple Covers And On Stage Breakdowns To Liam Hemsworth's Steamy Kiss With Eiza Gonzalez

It's been one hell of a week for Miley Cyrus and as the singer hits headlines today following her racy iHeartRadio performance in Las Vegas, we decided to take a look back through the star's hectic seven days - from breaking VEVO records, to her now ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth being snapped smooching Eiza Gonzalez, to on stage breakdowns...

Things started off pretty good for the former Hannah Montana star at the start of this week, when she topped a VEVO record once again by crossing the 100 million view count within six days.

The speed meant she beat her own record, which was set when 'We Can't Stop' reached the barrier in 37 days and the feat led to her unveiling her provocative, topless Bangerz Deluxe Edition artwork.

However, things soon took a turn for the worse when Miley and Liam Hemsworth's representatives confirmed that the showbiz couple's four-year romance had ended.

The state of the stars' relationship has been subject to intense scrutiny over recent weeks, and speculation that they had called the whole thing off grew to new heights last weekend when Miley unfollowed the Hunger Games hunk on Twitter.

A spokesperson for Miley told us that the speculation around the state of their engagement was "true" on Monday (September 16).

Rumours then blamed Miley's raunchy VMAs performance as the reason behind the split, with sources telling Radar Online that the bizarre performance, that saw Miley gyrating on Robin Thicke and doing sexual things with a foam finger, was the "final nail in the coffin" when it comes to the couple's engagement.

However, we were all left shocked when it was confirmed that the 'mystery brunette' that Liam had previously been spotted with was revealed as Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez, with the duo being snapped KISSING just a couple of days after Miley and the Hunger Games hunk's split was officially announced.

Reports have since claimed that Liam had been wanting to announce the split for months and had already "secretly moved out" of their shared mansion, despite being snapped together at the Paranoia premiere at the beginning of August.

“Liam had been begging Miley to announce the split all summer,” an insider told Life & Style, adding that he had “told Miley he is actually thinking of moving back to Australia for a while" to get some distance.

With claims stating that Eiza had since been telling pals that she and Liam were "in love", it's no wonder that Miley sobbed through her performance of Wrecking Ball at the iHeartRadio festival this weekend, where she was also seen flashing the flesh in a fishnet white dress, baring her boobs for all to see!

However, despite the eccentric star apparently "hurting" over her split from Liam, sources have said this weekend that she is still sure that she's going to have the "last laugh" because the actor's family won't approve of Eiza's surgery.

“Miley knows it’s going to embarrass Liam because his family has always talked down about plastic surgery,” a source tells Hollywoodlife.

The insider then goes on to say what the short haired star really thinks of Eiza's surgery, saying: ”Miley’s not judgmental about stuff like that the way Liam and his family are, but she’s hurting bad right now, so yeah, she’s going there. I mean, it’s hard not to notice how much better Eiza looks after all her surgeries.”
