Newton Property Management appoints new chief executive

Newton Property Management has appointed Vincent Goldie as chief executive and Rachel Littlejohn as business development director.

Goldie has served as chief financial officer since February 2023, following previous senior roles in the financial services and utilities sector.

"The property management sector is in need of a customer service revolution, and I am honoured to lead Newton into this next phase," he said. "By reimagining our approach to customer service and implementing strategic changes across systems, processes and technology, we are well positioned to set a new standard for excellence in our industry."

Newton has undergone significant restructuring recently, including the appointment of Rachel Littlejohn to the board as a shareholder and director, alongside chair Stephen O’Neill and directors Kirsten O’Neill and Derek Macdonald.

"I am thrilled to have been appointed to the Newton Property Management board at such an exciting time," said Littlejohn. "My aim is to drive excellence in business development, ensuring that every interaction with our clients meets our vision to deliver a sector-leading customer experience."

At the end of last year, the factoring firm acquired Greenock-based Morison Walker Property Management. This latest deal saw Newton expand its presence in the west of Scotland.

Formed in 2001, the business is based in Glasgow - with further offices in Inverness and Aberdeen - and now manages factoring for around 34,000 properties across the country.

    STORY: Airbus delivered more jets over the first half of the year, but it's battling mounting headwinds. Industry sources estimate the aerospace giant handed over about 323 new aircraft. That would be up about 2% on last year, with official figures expected next week. But the sources estimate deliveries fell short of targets in June. That would tally with a warning from Airbus last week that it was cutting its goals for the year. It now aims to deliver 770 jets, instead of the 800 initially planned. The firm cited a shortage of engines, structural parts and interiors. As a result it put back plans to raise output of its best-selling A320neo family of jets. It still expects to hit a record rate of 75 per month, but not until 2027 - a year later than expected. Right now it makes 50 per month. There was no comment on the latest reports from Airbus. But some analysts are already cutting their forecasts for its output next year.
