"With the boys' and my wife's birthdays back to back, it was a big week of celebrating in the Suh house," Ndamukong tells PEOPLE. "It's crazy to think that Kingston and Khari are already 3, but I have to say that this year has been the most fun year of parenting yet."
"The boys have really grown into themselves and it's been exciting to see how their different personalities and interests have developed," the professional athlete shares.
His wife Katya tells PEOPLE that their sons' party had a special theme.
"This past year, the boys discovered their love for trucks and building, so a construction-themed celebration was a perfect fit," she says.
"The boys had a blast and looked the part too in their matching construction uniforms. We really went all out with the theme this year from the balloons to the cake toppers and the drivable toy cranes they drove around in all day."
Last year, Ndamukong spoke with PEOPLE ahead of the Super Bowl, saying it's taken a "tremendous amount of organization."
"I don't like being without my family, so making sure they could come out to Arizona when I did a week before the game was important. My wife does an amazing job with everything, and thanks to her, we keep things as close to normal as possible," he told PEOPLE at the time.
Since this was the proud dad's third Super Bowl, wife Katya said she already had a bit of a system to work with at the time.
"I've been really taking the time to enjoy everything that comes with the big game," Katya shared. "The first time Ndamukong was in the Super Bowl, I was focused on making sure everyone else was all set, and the second Super Bowl, I was eight months pregnant. So this third time around, I am taking time to attend events, mix and mingle, and really enjoy it."
