Nicole Kidman Debuts Major Blonde Hair Transformation with New Long Bob Just in Time for Spring
The actress showed off her new look in a Balenciaga leather jacket
Nicole Kidman is stepping out with a fresh new hairstyle — perfect for warmer temperatures ahead.
On Monday, the Moulin Rouge star, 56, shared a post to Instagram debuting her brand-new look. In the photos, her hair is blonde, styled casually in a long, tousled bob, and she completes the look with a Balenciaga hooded black leather jacket. In one shot, she gives a sultry, model-like look, and in the next, she looks right at the camera with the perfect smize.
In an Instagram Story post, Kidman also gave a node to the pros who helped her pull it all together: hairstylist Adir Abergel and makeup artist Gucci Westman. shared the names of her stylists. She also showed off her full outfit. Underneath the leather jacket, she dons a black tank top and leather pants.
Balenciaga has played an important role in Kidman's wardrobe as of late — in December, she became an ambassador for the fashion house.
"Balenciaga has been with me through some of the most memorable events in my life, from my wedding to the Oscars red carpet," Kidman said in a press release at the time.
This is a departure for Kidman from her last hairstyle. In recent months, she's worn her hair long and straight in her classic light red color, often styled back in a slick ponytail or with some curly bangs to frame her face.
However, Kidman is no stranger to blonde — just two months ago, she graced the cover of Vogue Australia sporting a shaggy blonde look to match her rockstar-esque outfit. The look was made even more rock-and-roll by a snake wrapped around the actress' neck.
In the Vogue cover story, Kidman said that snakes were "alluring" and that she is fascinated by how "they slither and move."

Apart from expressing that "they're very beautiful," Kidman also takes the fact that they shed their skin as a learning opportunity. "You can become and try different things, all the time, which is what excites me," she told the outlet, noting how she applies that mindset in her career.
"I don't even see it as reinvention," Kidman said. "I think it's more like different facets that you discover that are in existence, but you are attuned to the discovery of them. Yes, I remain very open and still very passionate about what I do, and curious. And those elements haven't been dampened."
Although this latest Balenciaga look featured Kidman's straight hair with just a touch of texture, the Big Little Lies actress has been candid in the past about missing her natural curls. In a 2020 interview with The Sunday Morning Herald, Kidman admitted she regrets damaging her naturally curly hair with repeated heat.
"Do I wish that I hadn't screwed up my hair by straightening it all the time? Sure," Kidman told the newspaper.
At the time, she began making a transition back to her naturally curly locks.
