The Pussycat Dolls are embarking on a comeback tour - after Nicole Scherzinger reportedly signed a multi-million pound deal to reunite with them.

The X Factor judge will join former original Pussycat Dolls Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, Melody Thornton, Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta on a worldwide tour in 2020, according to The Sun.

A source said: “Nicole has long turned down offers for a reunion but with the ten-year anniversary of their hiatus passing, she finally said she was ready.

“Nicole was made a multi-million pound offer to re-join the group and was given a huge advance which made it impossible for her to turn down.”

The band - best known for their hit single ‘Don’t Cha with Busta Rhymes- are yet to confirm the reunion.

The Pussycat Dolls began as a burlesque dance troupe in Las Vegas, but in 2003 a singing group was formed under the same name and they made their debut in the charts in 2005.

Bachar, 45, quit the show in 2008 and after their 2009 Doll Domination Tour Wyatt, Roberts, Thornton and Sutta all left the group and Scherzinger continued to front The Pussycat Dolls, backed by four new members. But by the end of 2010, Scherzinger also quit the band to perform a solo career.

Roberts, 38, hinted during her appearance on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2012 that there was some contention among the band over Scherzinger being billed as the ‘lead’ singer.

She said: "Even in the group, I wasn't allowed to talk, we were told to be quiet. Only Nicole was allowed to talk. We would occasionally pitch in...

“Why do you think the band broke up? U2 are still together and they split everything down the middle."

Since leaving the band Scherzinger, 41, has had a successful music, fashion and TV career. She recently suffered a hack attack on her Instagram account which promised to reveal a sex tape.

Roberts was runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing last year and appeared in West End musical The Waitress over the summer.

Thornton, 34, competed in Dancing On Ice earlier this year and has appeared on Celebs Go Dating, while Bachar and Sutta, 37, have continued to pursue solo music careers.

Wyatt, 37, won Celebrity MasterChef in 2015 and is currently 35 weeks pregnant with her second child.
