The woman who threw milkshake over Reform UK party leader Nigel Farage has been named. Victoria Thomas-Bowden, aged 25, is a mum-of-one and describes herself as a video creator on her Instagram bio and also shares links to her OnlyFans account.

She sent the internet into a frenzy after throwing her McDonald's banana milkshake at Mr Farage, who referred to this as being "quite frightening." The police have shared that a woman from Clacton was arrested outside a Wetherspoons pub in her home town in Essex on suspicion of assault.

Victoria's brother Paul spoke to MailOnline, noting: "I have just seen it, and to be honest, I'm appalled. I don't know where she is. I don't want anything to do with her." For the latest Welsh news delivered to your inbox sign up to our newsletter

But Ms Thomas Bowen told the BBC, explaining her actions: “He doesn’t stand for me, he doesn’t represent anything I believe in, or any of the people around here. He doesn’t represent us, he’s not from here.” She has previously backed Jeremy Corbyn on Facebook, and questioned why those fleeing war in Syria are not given safe haven in the UK.

The Mirror has quoted Clacton Conservative candidate Giles Watling reacting to the incident. He said: "We may disagree, but every candidate has the right to campaign without fear of violence or intimidation." Labour's Yvette Cooper also described the incident as "completely unacceptable", adding: "No-one should face intimidation or assault in an election campaign."

Mr Farage also had a milkshake hurled in his direction in 2019 during a visit to Newcastle. Attempting see the funny side this time around, he bought a round of McDonald's milkshakes in nearby Jaywick, Essex. He joked: “My milkshake brings all the people to the rally” - in a reference to the well known Kelis song Milkshake. Just before the incident, he had promised to liven up the House of Commons if he was to be elected as MP.

Mr Farage spoke at his campaign launch, stating: "The breach of trust from the Conservatives means that they're finished, they're done. "We are going to get a Labour government, whether you like it or not."' He added: "The question is who is going to be the voice of opposition?

"I want Reform UK, with me at the helm, to be in Parliament and I promise you I'll liven it up a lot from what it currently is." An Essex Police spokesman said: "It was reported a man had a drink thrown over him as he left a premises in the area. A 25-year-old woman, from Clacton was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault. While officers were responding and making this arrest, a second individual, a man, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker."
